Our team consists mostly of graduates of the University of Warsaw's Institute of Applied Linguistics, where the leading language experts in Poland are educated. Many of our interpreters and translators also have additional educational or professional backgrounds, primarily in law, economics and politics. Maciej studied Applied Linguistics (with a major in Conference Interpreting) and Law at the University of Warsaw, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and Humboldt University of Berlin. He works as a full-time freelance translator and interpreter specialising in law and politics. Moreover, he teaches courses on German grammar and translation at the University of Warsaw's Institute of Applied Linguistics. In his career, he has interpreted for numerous high-profile politicians, including the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz, the leader of the Labour Party Ed Miliband, the Vice Chancellor of Germany Sigmar Gabriel, the German Federal Minister of Finance Peer Steinbrück, the Polish President Aleksander Kwaśniewski, the Polish Prime Minister Leszek Miller and the President of the National Bank of Poland Marek Belka. Maciej also has extensive experience of working for trade unions. He has interpreted at conferences attended by representatives of the Building and Wood Workers' International, the German unions IG Metall and ver.di as well as the Polish union federations Solidarność, OPZZ and Forum ZZ. Maciej's master's degree in law and his professional experience working for Baker & McKenzie Warsaw and the legal department of Allianz SE Munich makes him a highly valued translator of all kinds of legal texts.
 
Katarzyna Zawadzka

Katarzyna studied Applied Linguistics (with a major in Conference Interpreting) and Law at the University of Warsaw, University of Vienna and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. As a student, she pursued her scientific interests by co-establishing a student research group dealing with areas of intersection between language and law. Katarzyna has also completed a one-year programme on German and European law offered by the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the University of Bonn. Apart from being a freelance translator and interpreter, Katarzyna works as a law clerk at a court in Warsaw.
 
 
Anna Wojtyniak

Anna holds a master's degree in Applied Linguistics (with a major in Conference Interpreting) from the University of Warsaw and a bachelor's degree from the Warsaw School of Economics. As a student, she was deputy president of a student research group dealing with areas of intersection between language and law. Anna has also completed a one-year programme on German and European law offered by the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the University of Bonn. Apart from being a freelance translator and interpreter, Anna works for the Warsaw office of the German publishing house C.H. Beck. Her expertise in linguistics, law and economics makes her the perfect interpreter and translator for our clients from the financial sector.

Magdalena Kępczyńska

Magdalena holds master's degrees in Applied Linguistics (with a major in Conference Interpreting) and International Relations from the University of Warsaw. As a child, she spent a lot of time in Germany and has a native command of both Polish and German. Her expertise in politics, contemporary history and economics makes her a perfect translator and interpreter for politicians and diplomats.
